Spain’s current official catalogue is incorporated into Annex I of the General Traffic Regulation by Royal Decree 465/2025. It defines the code, name, meaning, design, and dimensions of vertical signs and also includes the official road-marking catalogue.
What the official catalogue covers
Article 134 says the catalogue must specify the form, colour, design, meaning, dimensions, and placement systems for the authorised signs. Annex I contains the vertical-sign catalogue in two volumes and the road-marking catalogue.
Volume I gives the code, name, and definition of each vertical sign. Volume II covers dimensions. Road markings are organised into longitudinal and transverse markings, arrows, horizontal signs, inscriptions, hatched areas, and other markings.
How Beep represents the catalogue

Official Spanish wording and artwork are kept separate from Beep’s learning explanations. A sign can appear in the complete reference catalogue before its bilingual teaching explanation is approved. That prevents an unfinished translation from being presented as official meaning.
How to study signs for the category B test
Learn the hierarchy first: officers’ orders, temporary signs and markings, traffic lights, vertical signs, and road markings. When signs of the same type conflict, the more restrictive one prevails; when different types conflict, the higher-priority type prevails.
- Group signs by legal function, not only by shape or colour.
- Compare visually similar signs side by side.
- Read supplementary panels together with the sign they modify.
- Return to the official definition when a study shortcut loses an exception.
